Registrations!

Good day to everyone. This is the registration manager speaking.

As you may all know very well by now, official registrations are open and being snapped up fast! We have initially limited registration to only 150 places for easier logistical planning.

We are very pleasantly surprised at the speed of registrations. I just can’t believe the amount that registered a really short time after the official announcement was made!

Kudos Malaysia! We are now just under 1/2 full! Keep up the registrations! We need them fast to get the schwag, uhm swag, to you on that weekend itself.

Registrations, though free, are essential to us for planning the catering and freebies (swag) to be given out. Those who register on the spot may not be given the same preference to those who have registered via the registration site.

Barcamp Around the Region

Seem like the Barcamp Movement is picking up.

Singapore had their Barcamp II recently which focused on Mobile and Maps.

And the guys from Thailand had two Barcamp in June which one of them was a Twitter Day.

Our friend Tharum Bun in Phnom Penh is organizing their inaugural Barcamp Phnom Penh this 21th September.

Also there are a handful happening around India.

Plus the one in Hong Kong on on the 9th of September.

The great thing about BarCamp is people tend to go from one Barcamp around their region to make new friends and this is the case of BarCamp Malaysia.

As I am writing this, a few of our friends have express interested to join the Fun in BarCamp Malaysia.

Even we got Jeori from Belgium to run the Drupal Track.
